Comprehensive vibration monitoring services
A set of measures to extend the trouble-free operating life of equipment
TD IRBIS LLC offers enterprises the introduction of a system of vibration monitoring and diagnostics, laser alignment and dynamic balancing of industrial equipment, which can be carried out in three ways:
First option
Using our services to carry out vibration monitoring, diagnostics and alignment. This option may be best for a small enterprise, because it does not require buying measuring equipment or training specialists.
Second option
Most medium and large enterprises that have signed contracts for such work eventually acquire vibration monitoring, diagnostic and laser alignment equipment to equip their own departments.
Third option
A combination of the first two: buying the equipment and, to introduce it and train your own specialists, bringing in the staff of TD IRBIS LLC.
TD IRBIS LLC carries out periodic vibration monitoring and analysis of the current technical condition of units, and performs the alignment and balancing work required by the results of monitoring.
Vibration diagnostics
Functional vibration diagnostics makes it possible to determine the location and degree of a fault in a machine, detect defects at different stages of development and make a long-term assessment of the service life of parts and units.
Specialists perform vibration diagnostics of enterprises' process equipment and of manufactured products:
electric motors
gearboxes
pumps
fans
blowers
compressors
redlers (en-masse conveyors)
bucket elevators
screw conveyors
bearing units
Analysis of the spectral composition of vibration without stopping the machine makes it possible to effectively identify the following causes:
- imbalance,
- misalignment,
- shaft bending,
- loosening of structural rigidity,
- defects of rolling and sliding bearings,
- lubricant defects,
- defects of belt and gear drives,
- defects of impellers of fans, turbines, pumps and compressors, and of flow parts,
- the electromagnetic system of DC and AC electrical machines.
Based on the results of monitoring, the Customer receives reports on the current technical condition, indicating defects of bearings, mechanical transmissions, the electromagnetic system and the flow part – the causes of deviations from normal operation of the unit – and recommendations for eliminating these defects. According to foreign sources, the transition from a planned preventive maintenance (PPM) system for the same fleet of equipment to condition-based maintenance (CBM) reduces repair costs by up to 30%. Introducing CBM can raise production efficiency by up to 10%. Eliminating the sources of increased vibration can reduce specific energy consumption by 15%.
When moving to a CBM system, the repair system is optimized on the basis of information processing on the operation, maintenance and repair of equipment. Constant information on the condition of monitored units helps to identify "problem" components in the equipment, to plan and carry out maintenance and repair without stopping production, to reduce the probability of equipment failure by tens of times, practically to rule out equipment failures and to cut spare parts purchases.
Alignment
According to statistics, about 50% of defects in industrial equipment are related to shaft alignment problems: premature failure of bearings from increased load, premature wear of couplings and seals, destruction of the foundation, deterioration of product quality and, as a result, higher time and money spent on repairs and lower economic efficiency of production.
We perform work ranging from aligning the pulleys of fan belt drives to determining the process accuracy parameters of machine tools and aligning shaft lines using Easy-Laser® laser systems, designed to meet the requirements of reliability and measurement accuracy in modern industry.
Modern alignment equipment makes it possible to:
align horizontal and vertical shafts
detect a "soft foot" and eliminate it
take thermal growth into account when aligning
determine the thickness of shims
produce an alignment report automatically
check straightness and flatness
align a shaft line
Balancing
Imbalance of parts is related to the rotor's axis of rotation not coinciding with the principal central axis of inertia. Such a discrepancy causes additional dynamic loads on bearing units and leads to their accelerated wear and shorter service life. Balancing reduces vibration and the additional loads from centrifugal forces and moments, which are compensated, and extends the service life of the machine.
The company performs two-plane dynamic balancing of equipment rotors, impellers of turbocompressors, blowers, fans, smoke exhausters, separators and crushers in their own bearings. A dynamic balancing certificate is issued with the results of the work.
Vibration monitoring and elimination of imbalance are carried out at the customer's site using modern equipment and software.
